A centrifugal vacuum concentrator spins samples under vacuum with gentle heat so solvent is removed without boiling, protecting heat-sensitive analytes. An automated solvent evaporation workstation performs the same duty at higher throughput through programmable protocols — it is normally chosen where sample counts are high or the process has to be reproducible run after run.
Nucleic acid and protein work calls for low-temperature operation to prevent degradation. A refrigerated concentrator plus a cold trap is the usual choice, so evaporated solvent is captured instead of being drawn into the pump. Sample volume and solvent type decide the chamber size.
Acid-resistant models use chemically inert or PTFE-coated wetted parts. The chamber, seal and tubing materials are matched to your solvent list, so send the chemistry along with the requirement and the wetted-material specification is confirmed before ordering.
Five points: sample volume per batch, number of samples, solvent type and boiling point, whether the analytes are heat-sensitive, and the target vacuum level. With those we can shortlist models and issue a configuration proposal.
